Oh....my wonderful wife

Just curious do you have a specific use for that gun other than range fun?

Great looking gun, wife, and child. It's nice when your wife is into firearms as well, I know I love shooting with my wife(even though she is a much better shot than I).

My use is simple: Find a gun my wife won't take over.
Plus I like shooting big handguns.
I started reloading on a 9mm then to 45 ACP.
.357 Mag was next, moved up to .44 Mag.
Suppose it was some perversion of progression but when I started the 9mm I started low (as one should) then went to the max (fine for some) and beyond (as one should NOT).
Ever since then I wanted faster and hotter rounds.
For rifles my .338 Win Mag shoots 210 grain Nosler Partitions with a classified amount of powder.

Sorry, I never tell data that isn't published. Just don't want that hanging over my head.

Marlin 1895 I have a 425 grain Beartooth Bullet with 44 1/2 grains of IMR-4198.
During hunting season I had heard some growling and swatting, little while later seen a bear eating what was left of his lunch ala moose, felt a whole lot better knowing that I had those 425's in there. Until I got away from that bear there was no safety and that rifle was at my shoulder ready to go.

For handguns:
In the .357 and .44 I pretty much only use 2 powders, 2400 or H-110.
But for the .45 and .40 i use power pistol. Sold that little 9mm that it all started with.

But when things go bump in the night when I'm out camping it's always comforting to know something big is laying next to me.
So my uses:
Find a gun my wife won't like, which she finally doesn't.
Big and fast, which it definitely is.
And like the .357 for 2 years and the .44 did for 1 1/2 years it will tour the state with me every time we go somewhere with bears, which is everywhere.
