Ohio politicians plans for Ohio's own tough AW Ban

News Advisory:

WHAT: News conference to unveil legislation that will ban military-style assault weapons in Ohio. Participants will also call on the Ohio congressional delegation -- especially Senators Voinovich and DeWine -- to support S. 1431 and H.R. 2038, two bills that will renew and strengthen the federal assault weapons ban.

The current federal ban will expire Sept. 13, 2004 unless Congress and President Bush act.

After they've banned the evil black rifles with pistol grips someone will point out that "hey wait a minute - a remington 700BDL is way more accurate at way longer ranges and way more powerful than that evil black gun we already banned so we must also ban all high powered rifles of any sort - just for the children".

Did the guy at Case even have an assault weapon? From the articles I've found, it seems he had two handguns. One of them had a hicap mag, does that make it an assault weapon? That's dumb... Many of the articles I found say he even had a machine gun. Time to fire out some letters again.
