OK, this makes me REALLY mad - AG Gonzales denies habeas corpus is Constitutional!

For the most part I've only seen this story being covered by the far left and far right, but it's starting to grow legs. I want to see this covered everywhere and soon. Gonzales should be tossed out on his butt for this.

Gonzales is just one example. His underlings like Yoo and his colleagues like The Torturer's Apprentice - Dick Cheney - also need to go. Preferably to somewhere with bars on the windows and daylight piped in every second Thursday.

Go to the Volokh Conspiracy Blog where Eugine Volokh discusses this. Maybe all of us will learn not not listen to the MSM and partisian blogs for our information. If there is one thing I have learned is the first general Media and partisian blogs reporting on something is usually false, shallow, dumb and WRONG. And yea I have to remind myself to always remember this cause it is easy to get caught up in the 8th grade discussion on blogs and MSM espically.

A few days ago I watched a short video of Arlen Spectre quizzing Gonzales over this - I'd like to know just who was that pasty animation behind Gonzales with the clenched jaw and eyes bouncing back and forth in their sockets??? This same animation of a man appears behind Gozales in a debate with another questioner on another film fidgeting and grappling with his necktie.

[GEM] I watched the AG before Senator Leahey, discussing the case of a Canadian grabbed in the USA and sent to Syria.

It was frightening as the AG refused to answer and sat there with smug certitude of his mission.

Here is video

Gonzales stalls claiming he has some secret information. He just can't share it with any other branch of our government, or Canadian law enforcement. But apparently the Syrians are the administration's good buddies.

Leahy gives him a deadline of tomorrow (I guess, if I'm reading when this occurred correctly) to explain why we're outsourcing the FBI's duties to Syria.

And that guy behind Gonzales' shoulder, yeah, he really looks like he's ready to break down from all the BS his boss is spewing.
