In several threads I've been critical of the
Python trigger's lack of robust return for
reset in DA and I feared it would still be so with
the 2020 version. Turns out the 2020
not so much.

BUT FOR LONG TIME in watching Bill Wilson
shooting his autos, I wondered about him
always taking his finger off the trigger during
return to reset. I never really noticed a need
with 1911s and especially not with S&W
revolvers. One can usually ride the S&W
trigger all the way back to return. It's Jerry
Miculek's style.

It turns out Wilson learned DA revolver shooting
on a Python and he got into the habit of always
letting his finger float off the trigger. And this
carried over to his shooting all sorts of autos.

I find this revelation, revealed on the Wilson
Combat video site, quite interesting as a
long time DA revolver shooter. Hope others
find it as interesting. We all develop in one
way or another our own somewhat unique
styles in shooting.

I do ride the trigger to reset when shooting a revolver, actually I'm letting the trigger push my finger forward.

Very few top tier shooters do that when shooting a semi-auto pistol...unless they are pinning the trigger to the rear and resetting in series rather than in parallel

Resetting the trigger in parallel (with the muzzle flip), even with the 1911, is much faster and allows for a better followup trigger press
