In several threads I've been critical of the
Python trigger's lack of robust return for
reset in DA and I feared it would still be so with
the 2020 version. Turns out the 2020
not so much.
BUT FOR LONG TIME in watching Bill Wilson
shooting his autos, I wondered about him
always taking his finger off the trigger during
return to reset. I never really noticed a need
with 1911s and especially not with S&W
revolvers. One can usually ride the S&W
trigger all the way back to return. It's Jerry
Miculek's style.
It turns out Wilson learned DA revolver shooting
on a Python and he got into the habit of always
letting his finger float off the trigger. And this
carried over to his shooting all sorts of autos.
I find this revelation, revealed on the Wilson
Combat video site, quite interesting as a
long time DA revolver shooter. Hope others
find it as interesting. We all develop in one
way or another our own somewhat unique
styles in shooting.
