Evening all ( if you know who Dixon of dock green is your not from around here,,;)). sorry for the cryptic deal above just me remembering something from long ago...
When my Father in law past away a few years ago I was given this box and contents and was curious to try and find out when it was made and sold in stores, I also got his Win 94 in 30-30 made in 1954 so I'm thinking this might be of the same time frame ,,
Can anyone shed some light on this for me cos I know nothing about knifes..

Sorry to hear of your loss. Definitely looks like a vintage Schrade knife though I couldn't tell you how old it was. Maybe on the folded instruction/model listing paper there's a copyright date.

Indeed it is the " Woodsman " as Piraticalbob informed us it was, the little booklet that came with it confirms this.
Bannockburn sadly there is no copyright in the booklet :( so no date ..
Oh well here is the proof and I think it complements my only "brasser" navy .
