Old Timer ?...

Evening all ( if you know who Dixon of dock green is your not from around here,,). sorry for the cryptic deal above just me remembering something from long ago...
When my Father in law past away a few years ago I was given this box and contents and was curious to try and find out when it was made and sold in stores, I also got his Win 94 in 30-30 made in 1954 so I'm thinking this might be of the same time frame ,,
Can anyone shed some light on this for me cos I know nothing about knifes..

Looks like an old production 165 Old Timer Woodsman, from when Schrade was still a US knife manufacturer. USA Schrade closed its doors in 2004 and re-opened as a Chinese-manufactured company.

Sorry to hear of your loss. Definitely looks like a vintage Schrade knife though I couldn't tell you how old it was. Maybe on the folded instruction/model listing paper there's a copyright date.

Well thank you gentlemen,
Indeed it is the " Woodsman " as Piraticalbob informed us it was, the little booklet that came with it confirms this.
Bannockburn sadly there is no copyright in the booklet so no date ..
Oh well here is the proof and I think it complements my only "brasser" navy .
