One more custom touch to my Wrangler!

I have been customizing my Ex-Birdshead Wrangler. I swapped the grip frame, installed a Bisley trigger and a Single Six hammer and grip screws (no more torx). I had a gunsmith machine the frint sight off and I installed a Marbles #29N 3/8" dovetail sight with a brass bead. It was fun but I wanted a better sight that my 50 year old eyes could see better.

I stumbled across an ad for Skinner sights for rifles. I took a chance and bought a 3/8" dovetail brass sight.

It arrived today and I had to file the brass dovetail slightly and press-fitted it with a few blows of the punch and hammer.

The sight was too tall so I reduced the height and rounded the muzzle end of the sight to look more appropriate.

I'm very pleased and it is easier to see! IMG_0387.jpeg IMG_0388.jpeg IMG_0389.jpeg IMG_0390.jpeg IMG_0119.jpeg IMG_0118.jpeg

Cool, that Wrangler is taking shape nicely!

How did the Bisley trigger affect the feel? Since my Bisleys have the unique grip frame and trigger combo, I wonder how the standard grip frame meshes with the more curved trigger?

(I love the Bisley hammer! The shorter reach makes cocking them a breeze. :D )

Stay safe.

I shot groups about 6" low at 15 yards, so I filed it down some more. I measured with my calipers and it should be the same as the Marbles sight I removed. I'm going out again to try it out.

The brass sight is easier to see for sure.

Nice job @Biblethumpncop
Looking at this thread on my iPhone I read about the brass sight and thought that I probably wouldn’t like that, then I scrolled down.
I must admit I like it. Your revolver looks great.
I also like the silver grip frame on the black frame, cylinder and barrel.
