Pretty cool thread. And I can understand "never shot it"; if you live in a city, don't get to shoot much and own a shotgun, for example. That's what happened to me, anyway.

My list:
Taurus 85 (.38), plain jane full hammer blue steel: Has worked pretty much as advertised, nothing special but it is my first so something special.
Taurus 605 (.357): Mine would bind occasionally (unacceptable), but I guess a good one would be decent if they stand up to heavy/long-term usage.
Ruger SP-101: Excellent value, very good (& tough) small-frame .357.
Remington 870 Wingmaster (12 ga): Never shot it (see above), but obviously a quality gun that I wish I kept.
Marlin 336 (.30-30): Feels like an American classic, I am proud to own this gun.
Romanian SKS (7.62 x 39): My cheapest and most fun centerfire rifle to shoot, and probably the best value overall.
Marlin 39A (.22): Great gun, the words of praise are all true.
Marlin 60 (.22): Great value, surprisingly accurate, virtually no mods, made to be a beater/trainer/loaner in my mind.
Marlin 81TS (.22): Not bad at all, was my go-to .22 for years, will do most anything the 39A will... but not nearly as classy.
Savage 24 (.22/.410): Older model from late '60s (inherited), shoots good, great if you are fine with single shot (which I am); pretty heavy, though.
Mossberg 500 (12 ga): It works; that's all I ask of it - I wish my barrel was a little shorter, but that's not the gun's fault.
Beretta 21A (.22) - Worked as advertised, hated no extractor though and just too "mousey" for me.
No-name DA revolver (.22): "Awful" is as much review as this gun ever deserved.
