Cold Steel Vaquero Grande.
I've had mine for nearly 5 years now. It's big enough for self-defense, folds small enough to carry in my pocket, and can stay with me at schools, hospitals, etc.
It will do anything from cutting cardboard to light carpentry needs.
If I lose it, it doesn't set me back a month's wages.
I was thinking about my old CASE Camper knife the other day. Granted the new SAK variations are great. That old CASE did a lot of chores for me, I may of had my Case Trapper, my Case Bird and Trout - out and about hunting, fishing...Camper was used a LOT.
In the context of "one knife for everything"...Camper did it for me - most assured it still could today.
I've had it since college. I carried it for years and also used it as my hunting knife. It's has skinned and cut up most of the deer I've killed. It's a good, tough blade.
I am a man of many, many knives so this is a terrible thing to think about.
I have work knives and gardening knives and Sunday- Go to Meetin' knives,
and fillet knives and bait knives. God forbid you fillet fish with a bait knife.
And of course I have a favorite machete.
If I had to depend on one knife I would want it to be the U.S.M.C. K-Bar.
Respectfully, Zeke
