What embarassing thing are you going to purchase at a convenience store? Rubbers? Why would they need to be in two completely different parts of the store for that esepecially since almost all convenience stores now carry them behind the counter to prevent theft? I still think they were there for something not legal, could've been to rob the place or something like stealing some lollipops for a rave they were going to. Since there was only one of us there, it's kind of hard for the rest of us to make a determination, so maybe the op could obtain the video footage?
Seriously though, if someone wants to carry two firearms in an open-carry fashion and it is legal to do so, I don't see why others in the same community would give him crap about it. Face it, the fact that there is a need to have to carry is inconvenient for all of us, since I don't know anyone who carries in the off chance that they may come across an unarmed firing range and feel the need to spontaneously shoot some targets. Since there is a need, it really isn't up to any of us to dictate or judge what is or isn't appropriate if what the other person feels is "necessary" doesn't fit ours. I don't dual-carry like that, I carry a primary and a bu, but I see why his works and in all honesty it probably is better than my way of carrying.
If the op scared away two criminals about to do something, good for him. If the op scared away two people who were buying rubbers and the guns scared them, then too bad for them. I come across people all day, every day, that are actually doing things illegal that put my life or my kids life in danger (usualy driving) which is completely acceptable in our society these days, and unfortunately there is little recourse unless something actually happens.
I actually had to open carry for a week about two weeks ago because my cc permit was taken temporarily (there's a long story that will infuriate most of you which I will post after I'm done with finals this week). In that week I only came across two people who gave my firearm a second look. Thats the way it should be. As crass as it sounds, the other two people are just SOL and really need to pull their heads out of the sand and come to realize that guns are part of this country , the same way that I have had to come to realize that many other things that I don't like are part of our society.
