Strange thing at the range

He was actually still there all the time - you just couldn't see him! Whoooooooo

this is one of the reasons i rarely go shooting alone. I usually go with at least one friend who can watch my gear while i pee, or go down the street for a drink or something so I don't have to pack up and lose my table.

The most logical reason I can think of is that he just has become acquainted with you and the other guy. He leaves for a while, leaving his gear on the table because he trusts you guys, and that you won't let anyone take them.

I routinely shoot stick pins

at 30 yards. I stick them halfway into a tree and then i shoot them the rest of the way in. also tacks. yesterday i neutered a fly at 50 yds. with one hand. blindfolded.

In my gun culture you wouldn't even think of taking something that did not belong to you. I had a guy pick up one of my cheap guns and left his expensive gun. He grabbed my S&W 10-4 and left his S&W custom shop. I hopped in the jeep to return his weapon, imagine the horror on his face when realized what he had done. Only honest and forth-right people make it into my close proximety. There should be no question, the guys weapons where safe where they lie.
