Sorry I got into this late. I just signed up. Carried open When I was in Alaska
in the 1950's and at that time everyone did. Don't know what it's like up there
now but I'd like to know.
What is the posibility of the Fed's getting involved in the unlikely event that
Texas went open?

I'd really like to know your thoughts on how the Fed's might possibly get involved in open carry. So sarcasm or anything, I'm really interested in your thoughts/guesses, etc.

I'd like to help get OC legalized in TX and any input on any & all potential problem areas, legislation, education (both general public & licensed carriers) etc. etc., would be helpful.

just signed up!

Thank you for the link!!!!!! I'm excited to know somebody's moving on this.

For you who do not live in Texas, let me clue you in. When it is 98 degrees and 60% humidity (I also live in Harris County, which is the Houston metro area) it is no joke to try and dress so you can carry something larger than a S&W snubbie. That's what I've carried all summer because I can't carry even my Kimber Ultra Carry II without a chance of it "printing".

The "intentional failure to conceal" law in Texas INCLUDES ACCIDENTAL FLASHING OF THE HOLSTER. :banghead: You can be wearing a jacket, but if the wind blows it open and some blissninny has a case of the vapors, guess who can lose their CHL!:cuss:

You durn tootin' I'd open carry. For women, this would be a huge blessing. All of us ladies know how hard it is to get a really concealed holster that also really fits our shape. If I didn't have to worry about it, my Kimber would be in my DeSantis OWB holster on my belt instead of stuffed in my purse. :fire:

Springmom, I'm north of you, in the Panhandle, but I agree, if I could wear something to match the weather instead of worrying about the gun printing, I'd be one happy woman. I don't know that I'd openly carry all the time, but it would be nice to be able to carry comfortably and not have to worry about the gun showing, or me burning up.
