Opinion of Sig Sauer Pistols

FWIW, SIG is expanding their manufacturing operations in NH like gang busters. Their converting an old telecom plant in Rochester to augment their huge facility in Portsmouth and are going to hire 400 new employees with wages starting from $19-22/hr for the shop floor.

They announced in 2020 that they will close their last European plant (in Germany) as the bureaucracy stymied their attempts to build a new plant there. So all SIG manufacturing will be in the USA.

They’ve also scored big with SIG Academy, where the training has a good reputation and is reasonably priced. Classes fill up months in advance.

Like FN, SIG knows where the sales are to be had and is, IMHO, a good company.

I’m hankering for a P220 in 10 mm in a big way.

Bought a P229 and loved it. Then came a West German P220, a P320C ms, a P365 ms, and a P238. The SIGness is easy to catch. Many, many other great brands out there, and I have some of them. However, SIGS are special to me. When I shoot any of the above, they never disappoint.

Love Sigs.....P229 .40, P228, P227 Equinox, P227 SAS, and P365 (bug)......

So @DMW1116, with so many members posting their opinions, has it influenced you along with your brief interactions with the Sigs you shot, to purchase one?

Every Sig (no polymer) I own, have owned or shot that students had all were reliable, ergonomically well done and for most part need little to nothing to make it better. As an EDC, to me the P229 is bulky but I carried one (and I still own it) in 40/.357 Sig for a long time.

I was begiunning to wonder the same thing since the OP hasn't been back since starting this thread.

I think we can put it on pause until we hear from the OP...if they are still interested
