Pretty much. Although, some stipple jobs I've seen around were pretty fancy.

If you Google Glock and Stipple and click on images in the results, youll see its become a pretty common thing now, and all manner of methods.

I would be concerned about putting too much/too aggressive stippling on the gun. Assuming you grabbed the gun incorrectly it could make it more difficult to shift in your hand.

That can be a bit of a problem, as the gun does lock into your hand pretty much once you grab it. Its not as easy to make slight adjustments.
