Here is a good reason to Want a Glock 26. I've never been able to shoot such tight groups with any other pistol or revolver of the same size that works for concealed carry! This is a pretty usual target from my stock 26 from a sandbag rest at 50' with factory ammo. In this case the ammo is Win Personal Protection 147 JHP. from Wally and measures 2" .

The Sr9 is what made me consider Glocks. I was a my LGS and was trying out several 9mm guns to buy. Well I racked the slide on a SR9 and it bit my palm (the stupid safety had a sharp edge) well I moved down to several other models and found the G17. Well for a few dollars more I bought it and they say the rest is history.

When it came time to find a Carry gun, I naturally was attracked to the G26. Same magazines, same internals, same type of shooting. I went with the G26.

All I can say is that I don't try to make rocket science out of it. I just carry what works and that happens to be a Glock 26.

I love shooting my G26... thing is a laser gun for some reason. As for carry: IWB with a Crossbreed is great as long as I'm up and around. Once I sit down, especially in the car, feels like a brick. It'll fit in some pockets but I look like I'm smuggling NYC phone books.

Searching for the right OWB holster now. It'll be my cold weather carry choice.

If you can get used to the two-finger grip, it's just like shooting the G19/23. What more could you ask for in a conceal carry pistol? It's the best of both worlds, concealable and shootable.

I slip my G26 in my cargo shorts pocket and no one is non the wiser :neener:

and with the pearce pg-39 grip extension I've got 13 rounds of peace of mind at my finger tips

Thanks guys :) There is only one thing left to do.....get G26 with a High Noon Mr. Softy holster and try it out.

Wow....I can't believe me sometimes
I was set to get a G26, went to the shop and they happen to have a used but super clean Kahr CM9 in the case next to the Glocks....which, of course I HAD to look at :uhoh: I actually left the store after a long time of side by side comparison but couldn't get the Kahr out of my head. It is was $180 less than the Glock, felt great, so much more compact and carry-able vs. the G26. I also have two Don Hume holster that fit the little Kahr but nothing for the Glock. Once again a smaller gun wins out...

Nice CM9! I bet you will still get a G26 though ;) I did the same thing when I purchased my first 1911...I was set on getting a Colt and ended up coming home w/ a Springfield Loaded! I love my Springer but still want the Colt. I have a G26 and really love it but always wondered about the smaller Kahr pistols...they look like they should carry well. Let us know how it performs!

But the CM9 only runs with 6 round mags? I prefer the 11 rounds my GLOCK 26 has. Glocks run 100% with any ammo.

6 rounds only I would get a .357 wheel snubbie. ;)

Give us a range report when you can.

i love my glock 26, as soon as i got it my days of looking for the 'best' compact/cc/etc...gun were completely over. the small grip took a few trips to get used to but now it feels as natural in my hands if not more so, than any other gun. its small enough to fit in the pocket of cargo shorts or a jacket yet is as shootable as a full size pistol imo at least from inside 10 yards, light enough to shoot all day, great trigger, easy followup shots, feeds any ammo, 100% reliable, great sights, can take 17 round+ mags, it is just awesome

I have been using the G26 since it came out. It is the smallest pistol that I can make goods hit with. Added the +2 Glock mag bottom for 13 shots. The CorBon 115 gr goes 1260 fps as clocked by me.

Originally bought the G26 as a backup for my issue G17. Found I only dropped a few points on the qualification course with the G26. Cant think of a better carry gun. The G27 would also be good.

In my Andrews Custom Leather IWB the G26 disappears under a loose T-shirt.
