I love .32 ACP and have several of them. I've been looking at these older Llama .32's lately but don't know much about them. Seems to be a scaled down version of a 1911 design wise.

Anyone have any info or opinions on this particular pistol?

Thanks.

llama

I've had one for years, its usually a second hide, mine has been very reliable and easy to shoot.
You are right in the observance of it being a scaled down 1911, for average sized hands its an easy fit.
I've run well over 3k rounds thru mine and it keeps on ticking
good shootin

I also have the IIIA in .380. Its an older pistol, but is a straight blowback. Previously they had made this gun with a locking breach mechanism. Neat little pistol. I love mine and it always goes bang!

This appears to be the Model X-A which included a thumbrest molded into the checkered plastic grip..Real neat...:)
If it's reasonable in price, go for it and get your money's worth until parts become a problem later on....

I think those thumbrests were to get enough points so it could be imported after the GCA68. I believe that the rear sights were "adjustable" as well for more points. Never saw too many in .32 though; usually they were available in .22 and .380.

Never saw too many in .32 though

Good point...Noticed a notation that very few .32's were imported to the U.S. where the larger & more powerful calibers were more in demand...In Europe, very popular caliber for decades.....
So, LLama is not the most popular brand on these forums, you have of sorts: a rarity...:)
I checked the California Approved Handgun List at the CA DOJ website and it's not on the list.
Are you kidding me? I thought CA were more interested in mag capacity & full-automatics? The Terminator has let you down....

Well apparently I'm not allowed to own this gun. I checked the California Approved Handgun List at the CA DOJ website and it's not on the list. That means it's not gonna happen. Bummer.
