Fair Pricing
Indeed - the PRVI ammo is very good - and if you figure on bang for the buck, they are outstanding.
RWS, Norma, Lapua and other Western European ammo and cases are excellent - but not worth a couple bucks a shot IMHO.
On the other hand, S&B and PRVI that I've shot were comparable in quality. I can't say that other producers market the high tech specialty ammo that RWS makes (for elephant, for example) but they cover the rest of the bullet types.
I can't for the life of me bring myself to pay $40 for a box of cartridges when I could get a box of the same stuff for $12, boxer primed, non-corrosive primers.
S&B and PRVI have produced for international contracts for decades.
If I were into match competition, I might buy Lapua brass... but I'm entirely happy with the lower price option. I didn't know that Wolf Gold is PRVI - to me, that's a good thing. I'm still watching the Wolf stuff that I've bought - but that, too, seems to meet my requirements.
