Well... I guess I'll be the bad guy. First off, I love CZs. My 75B was my first handgun, and would be one of the last I'd ever part with. But as far as the P-07...
Owned one for about a year. Bought it new last summer, whatever "run" that would have been. It was one of those guns that I really liked, but the "little things" about it started to bother me. Guess I'll just list the good and the bad. My opinions only, YMMV.
The Good:
-CZ ergos are great. Recoil was super soft. Just felt great to shoot. (Don't want to understate this: It was a fantastic gun to shoot compared to other plastic 9mm's). I've shot dozens of plastic 9's, and no others came close to this one, at least for me.
-Trigger started OK and ended up pretty good after a couple hundred rounds.
-Not sure how they fit 16+1 into such a small grip. Helps with concealability.
-Controls are reachable even for medium-sized hands, including the hammer. I could do everything with this gun one-handed comfortably, and I can't do that with a lot of "full" sized guns.
The Bad:
-Front sight "paint" came off when reholstering. It's really just a white strip adhered to the plastic. With Elmer's Glue Stick, apparently. The sights are not up to par with the rest of the gun. CZ definitely skimped here. The sights are cheap crap, period.
-The checkering is sharp, but that wasn't the problem I had while carrying... it was the rear sight. The rear sight will practically tear a hole in your skin if you don't have it covered with leather. A t-shirt was not enough to make this comfortable for me. Maybe a skinny guy would have better luck. I suppose you could file off the corners, but I don't like to take files to the exteriors of guns, as a general rule.
-Holster selection is poor. You can either overpay for an average plastic CZ brand holster, bite the bullet and pay for a Hazel Leather Holster, or use a generic.
-Mags are expensive, and there is no quality off-brand that I am aware of (MecGar, etc.). I like having extra magazines, but couldn't afford to stock up on these the way I would have liked to.
In sum, I really liked this gun for a while. Still do, actually. But I became frustrated enough with the bad holster/magazine/aftermarket product selection and the sharp edges that, when the front sight paint fell off, I had had enough.
I may own one again someday, if the aftermarket catches on and holsters and magazines become more widely available. If not, I'll probably be in the market for a G19 instead. If the frustrations I mentioned don't sound like things that would bother you, then the P-07 may be right up your alley. Functionally, it is far, far above average.
