I love Taurus PT9** guns...had a PT940 and made the BIG mistake of selling it. :banghead: Ran into a nice PT911...traded for the K40 Custom..and after looking at it for a while...its very very straight lined in the design. Given, Taurus was mostly taking the Sig design and running with it....anyway. I love the gun...accurate, great size, trigger, sights etc....I just didnt like the blocky look it had.
So I FIXED IT This is what I ended up with...my first frame/slide tweak thats external.
I did alot of work to the front of the slide. Front of the frame. Raised the bottom of the trigger guard up and added a little finger curve below it on the grip housing. Bevelled the grip housing vertically..making it thinner to grip..and raised/recontoured the beaver tail slightly...the gun sits lower in your hand now. The grip housing tweaks were pretty major....yet you cant tell by looking at it...oh well. The last thing is OEM Taurus Rosewood grips...completely reshaped them to match the new frame........
What do you think? If you think it sucks...let me know....but if you like it....cool!
Thanks, Eric....er oh ya...Shoot well
