Greetings. I'm planning on building either an SPR Mk.12 DMR clone or an M110 SASS at some point in the future.
I'm curious as to recommendations for telescopic sights for the weapon. I'd like one that is not only accurate but also solid. I'm going for as military grade a weapon as I can produce. Would fixed power or variable be best bet?
Also how would you mount back-up ironsights on a telescope sighted AR (with the flattop rail system)? That's one thing I'm not budging on in terms of my soon to be built rifle...backup iron sights in case my scope eats it.
