I have been searching everywhere for a decent magnifier for an Eotech. My demands are simple. It doesn't have to be amazing, or the "real deal". Its going on top of a rec. AR-15. However, I do not want some cheap P.O.S off of ebay, but anything else is $500 or better. I did run into a magnifier by DM Premium Optics (aka- DM Firearms) As hard as I searched, I could find nothing on them except for what is advertised on their company website. Anyone out there heard of these? Know anything about them other than the advertising propaganda? Anything helps, even if its about a completely different manufacturer. Thanks guys. Have a good one.

if they're still available, get the po' boy special from larue.

I find it amaizing that those companys want $500+ for a magnifier. You can get really good scopes for that! I think by Cheap Ebay stuff your referring to airsoft products. This one is cheap too Mako HERE?

I just thought I would post up real quick to introduce us and our new line of magnifiers. The idea of the DM Premium Optic Magnifiers originally came about due to a certain level of frustration with the current magnifier products offered. You have either the “high end” magnifiers (EoTech and Aimpoint), that are priced out of 85% of the markets range and then you have the “low end” magnifiers (Mako, and other Airsoft optics) which are built with no regards to quality, reliability or craftsmanship.

We felt there was a huge hole in the market for a reasonably priced magnifier that offered superior clarity and was built using the highest quality components available. We had originally set out to design and build a magnifier that would be every bit as good as the EoTechs and Aimpoint at a fraction of the cost and be able to warehouse the optics to avoid a 4-8 month delay on getting products and we have exceeded even our own expectations. As an added bonus every optic is shipped with a Windage and Elevation adjustable 30MM Mount and we are currently working on a Flip to Side/Pivot Mount for our optic as well.

All of our products are designed and tested in the Us, then assembled in a Clean Lab using Ultra High Quality Optical Glass from the same suppliers of Swarovski. Both our 3X and 4X Magnifiers feature slightly higher magnification than EoTechs and have a higher light transmission as well at only a fraction the cost and weight.

We are “formally” releasing our line of Optical Magnifiers at this upcoming Shot Show. We have sent out samples to quite a few of the major optic distributors and we have received fantastic reviews and high enthusiasm about them. If you are going to make it to the Shot Show, please feel free to come and visit us in Booth 22008.

I agree with above. What is the point of this thing? Either way, it is going to diminish clarity because of all the lenses (and other things) involved. To each his own.

In response to blitzens' questions, much like EoTech and Aimpoint, we feel there is a demand to be able to have the versatility of being able to engage target at a close distance (25- 50 meters) quickly, and still be able to accurately shoot targets further distance targets (100+ meters) while using the same sighting system.

I agree that you can do both with a decent scope. We feel as though there are a lot of current EoTech and Aimpoint owners who would rather mount a magnifier behind their red dot and get the same results as a scope and still have the versatility of the "close quarters engagement" with the wider field of view associated with both Aimpoints and EoTechs instead of having to buy a complete new scope. That way the user gets to continue using the sight that they are accustomed to and quite possible save a few dollars depending on which scope they would have used as a replacement.

DM Firearms, Thank you for your reply. It seems as if your magnifiers haven't been in the market long enough for independent reviews to start surfacing. But at better than half the price of the "name brand" stuff, having more integrity than to put a toy's sight on my rifle, I think that your 4x magnifier is the route I'll be taking. I know the "Po' Boys" is a good deal and quality stuff, but personally, I was looking for something in the 4x neighborhood. Thanks to everyone for the replies. I appreciate it!! :D

DM 3x with larue mounts.

I spoke with cody @ larue and someone today with DM firearms.

I have a t-1 with a larue LT660 Tall mount and looking to buy larue's pivot mount LT649.

Larue had seen them at the shot show but has no experience how well it will work.

DM firearms- was trying to sell me their mount or told me wait to buy their Samson FTS mount that will becoming out in April. I'll call them again tomorrow and see if i can get a clarification on how works... As far as absolute or 1/3 cowitness.

I wanted to wait to see what others say about the magnifier before i put out my cash for something that may not line up correctly.

Why don't more retailers carry this magnifier. It looks pretty solid. I just got the eotech 4x magnifier with flip to side mount for 700 out the door. Not cheap. The eotech mount appears to be made by Samson, the same one who makes this one. If I would have known about this I may have considered it, but eotech has the reputation of course. My question is why don't we see this on sites like cheaperthandirt.com or other popular sites? Cheaperthan dirt carries the eotechs and even the Mako junk. Why not the DM stuff? Thanks.

When I checked with Larue a few months back they no longer had them.

I got a Burris tripler and a Larue mount. Optics are not as good in the Burris, but good enough, and it's 3x vs 2.5x, and less than 1/3 the cost of an Aimpoint or Eotech

You realize that post was made literally (exactly) 2 years ago, right?

Yes, but now my question is even more relevant because the product has been out and it is still not found anywhere I shop, no???

I ended up buying the EOTech 4x magnifier. It is really 3.75x I think. VERY, VERY nice. Got it from optics planet they had it listed for $750, but it included the fixed mount and flip to side mount. I called them and they did it for 700 out the door. God that was expensive and my wife don't know about it and she ain't gonna either for that price.

Not relevant, because I posted in response to:

Which was immediately prior to my post. Had it been intended to respond to you, I would have quoted your reply in mine, as I did here just to be clear.

If I had to guess a response to your post, which I don't, I would say it's the mid-range pricing. The people that are typically attracted to these products either like the look of the real deal, and get airsoft knockoff to achieve this to impress their buddies, or would rather spend the extra to "only cry once".

That doesn't mean that the DM version is bad, I am now considering it myself for a bolt gun. It just means that it's a very competitive market right now, and sometimes it becomes very polarized, with very little room for anything in the middle to exist successfully.

As I said, just a guess.

You were talking about the po' boy, I was refering to the DM. Thanks for the response though. Your guess makes sense to me.
