Not to surprising about the dearth of orders for Walker holsters...how would you ever keep your pants up?
It was always rumored that they were issued in pairs for a pommel holster; 'ol Dobbin got to carry the weight.

You don't carry them on your pants belt. You carry them on a heavy gun belt, like every other handgun that is not for concealed carry.

This is the Gus McCrae rig of mine which is identical to the one I was commissioned to make a few years back for one of my customers. I looked at a lot of photos of the original in the Wittliff collection and studied the few good views of it in the movie to duplicate the profile of the holster as close to the movie rig as possible.
