Places to shoot on the west side (185th/H26)?

Shweboner you said you know a couple places out my way (185th/H26) to shoot? Could you please be more specific? Are they public or private? Outside / woods, or indoor? Also, I never saw any pics posted, did I miss them?

I love shooting and hate the time it takes me to get to Brown's Camp, so please get back to me when you get a chance. Also, any restrictions would be appreciated.

I live around hour away from Douglas Ridge and Tri-County. I am up past Vancouver , WA. I was going to be doing the tour at Douglas Ridge. and considering joining there as I hear that it is a more relaxing environment than Tri-County and you can shoot out to farther distances. However, they don't allow shotguns, which is a bummer. Also, its a journey, buit Tri-County is no bargain there either.

The fees for Douglas Ridge are very high right now, due to the court battle they are facing. Also, I am a new shooter and would like to find a range where I can help find good samaritan like shooters who can help a newbie. Which range would you think I would find people like that who can help assist a newer shooter?

So, between Douglas Ridge and Tri-County, which should i join? WHich is overall better range and which is better place for newbies to meet more experienced shooters who can help them?

Anyone else notice that before yesterday, the last post on this topic was made in 2003 and that the thread was started in 2003? For all we know, the OP and those who weighed in initially are either dead and buried or -- worse -- have moved to Idaho.
