Article

I post under the name "[email protected]" over there. The article provided some good information, and frankly some of her comments hit close to home. I got a kick out of some of the comments from the guys with "women issues" who turned her article on how to help your wife/gf become a 2nd amendment supporter into an argument about dating. :scrutiny:
 
Some folks have no business having a Computer, and Internet Access. Bad enough we have those against us using IT to tarnish RKBA, now we have "supposed" KABA folks causing more division.

Human Beings means everyone from Men, Women to Kids. I do not recall ever reading COTUS, or BoR stating "One has to be this tall to ride the ride called Freedom" . Never read where "No Vaginas Allowed in This Republic".


Exposure is good, I am happy for Kathy getting noticed even more. Even if it means more stupidity is revealed about others.

I remember reading that article when it came out in Concealed Carry magazine. It is articles like that one, and many others, that will keep me subscribing to that magazine. It may not apply 100% to all women, but it was very insightful and helpful. As an instructor, I see many of her points played out by my students.

I did wonder where all the hate mail was coming from this morning. The tone of the mail really puzzled me because that one article has provided more hits, and generated more really flattering fan mail, than anything else on my site.

Have to admit though, I really love THR. You guys are the best, because the truly humor-impaired don't post here! :D

Hate mail? You get hate mail?

You know what you oughta do? Put up a hate mail section on your website. I've seen folks do that and those were the pages that drove me to hiccups. Hate mail is usually so stupid as to be hilarious. Unless, of course, you get intelligent hate mail. ;)

I got a wee bit ticked not long ago when some "By golly shoot 'em all let Diety sort 'em out" MEN , said :
-Black Rifles with 30 rd mags have no place being sold.
-Men were supposed to do the protecting, women were for keeping barefoot , pregnant and cooking.
-Kids don't have rights at all. Just supposed to shut up, listen, do chores and get good grades in school.

These were high dollar shotgun folks. And folks wonder why I burned MY sanctioned cards too many years ago , went rogue , and had a helluva of time taking these types of knuckledraggers money at bootleg shoots? <expletive> I / we / My kind don't take kindly to folks spitting on Freedom as outlined for The Republic for which it stands. .

They were rude, kicked at the kid's puppy, hard shouldered the mom out of the way, wearing a high dollar shotgun hat and NRA hat.

I was livid! I picked up the child, " I can walk " the child said. No I had to carry the child to keep myself in check. Mom grabbed the puppy for the same reason.

Wrong is Wrong and these MEN were flat out wrong!

Sorry, just I have my druthers and take them serious.

I just read the replies to Pax's article. No wonder it seems like we're stalled
in the mud at times. When will these so called RKBA'ers realize that until we all
get on the same page were just like 2 mules pulling in the opposite direction...
and being too stubborn to work together gets nothing done.

The anti's seem more organized than we do a lot of times. And these people
that don't take the time to properly/seriously train and address the concerns
of those who are unfamiliar with firearms or are fence sitters may turn a strong
ally into a rabid anti. Apathy can kill just as much as bad intentions.

.... but what do I know?
 
PAX, I just read your "Best Gun For A Man" article...pretty funny stuff. Of course I already have one of those! :D Good site, keep up the good work.

OT. Pax, you know we all secretly adore you. This place would be far, far less fun without you.


edit to add: I think White Horseradish's idea is a good one. Post the most outlandish ones for scorn and ridicule in the public eye.

Just a quick note to let you know that when I discovered your site via a post on TexasCHLforum.com about that particular article (the post in turn also referenced THR, after which a little lurking I was glad to become a member of), I thought it was excellent as I was more or less finding the same in getting my wife of 18+ years to not only join me at the range, but spark her interest in target shooting as well. (Long story why 18+ years went by before this... always had long guns around but never replaced the handguns I stupidly lost in hock before we married and just this year inherited a GLOCK 19 when my father passed away... just call me an ostrich!)

It works. We both passed our CHL class/range tests last Saturday and she loves to shoot the GLOCK 19 as much as her (new) Walther P22, and is now looking for a nice self-defense handgun that will fit her tiny hands (she's 4'11").

In short, forget the airheads that don't know what they're typing about and feel reassured that not only are your articles on the mark, but also are appreciated and used by others due to the great content they contain.

Wow, just Wow.

I am so glad that I found the TFL for my first RKBA message board. If I found somewhere so filled with hate, I would have turned around, never looked back and never searched for an alternative.
