On the way back from our High Road get together, B.I.L. and I went exploring some of the dirt roads near Strawberry Reservior her in Utah. We ended up in a place called Main Canyon which is just off to the left after the Daniel's Summit Lodge if anyone knows the area.

Anyway B.I.L. had just got a new gun from Stormspotter from CZ forum. we were dying to try it out. This rare bird that B.I.L. picked up is a one that CZ made very few of. It has the P-01 frame and the PCR slide. A great combination in my opinion, the sights on the PCR are shaped better for carry.

We decided to test it out against my standard P-01. Well, mostly standard. I does have a set of Hakan's grips and one of our stainless guide rods in it. So I guess it is mostly standard.

We set up at 15 yards so we could bench off the hood of my Suburban. There was really no need for comparision. We just like to compare our guns to see if one shoots better than the other. We were shooting Winchester 100 round value pack ammo. We took turns shooting 5 round groups with both guns. We had a great time and a friendly competition.

In the end we decided that both guns are super accurate. The triggers are fantastic and they are a joy to shoot. If it matters, I did end up with the best group from my own P-01 :neener:

The prisoners in your state sure make crummy personalized license plates. Did pay extra for them?

Yo 12 Volt! Nice shootin', bud. I almost bought Stormspotters hybrid, but a contingent deal fell through. Bummer for me. On the other hand, you probably know I recently acquired Ut83's customized PCR which contains one of your SS guide rods. Now I have to get one for my new CZ 40-P so I can have a shootout of my own.

Here's a pic of the two.

Take care. Marko

I shot 12-Volts P-01 last Saturday.

Keep in mind a couple of things A. I normally don't like DA/SA guns, being a hard core 1911 person. B. I normally don't shoot little guns very well.

I have to say that that little P-01 was absolutely awesome. It was a great shooter. I put a couple of magazines through it doing some improvised Bill drills and Mozambiques from 10 yards, and it was a sweet handling little thing. Trigger pull was superb for a DA/SA gun. Very controllable, and it put a smile on my face. I was very impressed.

If it had Ashley Express sights it would be heavenly. :p
