Basically it just disappeared :(

A bit under 2000 rounds through it zero failures until today. Fired a shot the plate fell and jam. Empty in the chamber, next round jammed trying to feed. Dropped the mag and cycled the slide, nothing came out. Locked the slide back and shook it, no dice. Went to my range bag and got the "squib rod" figuring some FOD must have wedged the case. Took just the weight of the rod to drop out the empty, Case looked perfectly normal.

Upon closer inspection something was missing -- the extractor!

Done for the day. I sure hope the miltary guns don't have this issue!

When I got home the SIG website said their customer service lines were closing early today, too late to call. Brownell's had P320 extractors for like $8 but out of stock :(

Anyone else have this issue? I've loved this gun until this. Mine was returned for the "voluntary recall" and its become a range favorite! Hope I can get it running again quickly.

Will try calling SIG tomorrow.

Called SIG, not too bad a wait on the "phone tree" but they are out of stock on the extractors too :(

Gave them my serial number and they verified my address from the registration/recall is still valid and said they'd send one out to me at no charge as soon as they have them. I hope it doesn't take too long for them to restock.

I’d be inclined to believe since the locals are out of stock on the part a great many people have had the same failure.

I doubt it, as judging by all the P320 recall posts if others here were having the issue I wouldn't be the only one reporting it, unless they aren't shooting theirs nearly as much as I do mine -- which has been significantly less than usual as we've had pretty lousy weather for about all of February.

Just got an Email from SIG saying the replacement extractor is on its way to me now.

Extractor arrived in today's mail. Slipped it in and fed and ejected a few dummy rounds. All look fine, we've a line of thunderstorms heading our way tonight so tomorrow may be a washout in terms of getting to test fire it.

I'll follow up after I've run a few hundred rounds through it.

Finally got a chance to go out and shoot. 147 rounds through my seven 21 round mags with no issues, On the second of my four 17-round mags had a weird issue -- slide locked back on every shot, switched in the third mag and same thing happened a few times too, then it resolved itself and both mags finished without incident as the the final fourth one. Puzzled by this, I'll look for FOD or a spring issue in the area of the ambi slide lock lever when I clean it. I know it wasn't a grip issue as I switched to one handed after the third or fourth lock back in a row and it still happened.

Final follow-up, ran another 200 rounds through it after cleaning, no premature lock-back issues. There was a lot of crud where what essentially is the trigger bar runs past the ambi slide lock. I guess its possible it accumulated enough crud to intermittently push the slide lock lever up as the trigger is pulled. This could be a place to watch out for when cleaning the P320.
