P99 vs USP .40

I've got 2000 rounds thru my P99 AS 9mm and I have had not one failure/hiccup with it. I can't comment on the pistol you're asking about, but the P99 is the gun that fits my hand the best...other than a Kimber Tactical Custom II I held and droolled all over at the gun shop last week.

Well, the sight radius of the 4" P99 is the same as the fullsize USP 9mm w/ the longer barrel. Walther makes better use of the space with the rear shape of the slide. Even with a fullsize USP, I shot the P99 better...

I would (did) choose the HK in .40 if desired, but would now pick it in 9mm, and I would definetly get the P99 in 9mm as it recoils a bit more - it is light at 24oz and doesn't have the HK recoil engineering.

Shield20 - are you saying if you could do it over again you'd skip the P2000 in .40 and choose 9mm instead?

Regarding HK triggers - is the LEM the way to go? In other words, are the traditional SA/DA triggers pretty bad?
