Just thought I would give a heads up. The Army Navy store that used to be in Temple , PA and is now called A&N Outfitters in Wyomissing is closing their gun department and is selling everything off. There new guns were usually a little pricey but may now be decent at sale prices. All reloading stuff, acessories etc. are also on sale.

Closing or clearing inventory???

Was there a few weeks ago and it was the inventory line..........not enough discount ($20-$30) to grab my attention. Maybe now....................

If A&N does fizzle the gun dept(fear of Cabelas over-priced stock) I'll just go with Weaknechts_Hamburg for everything. Not as much hands-on selection but Jim will order ANYTHING in and his prices are good. Nice home-town customer service!!

There's always the Gun Gallery over on Perkiomen St/Blvd/whatever - but the neighborhood is a bit "spooky".

Update - Gun Dept Closed 1/17

I wen this past Saturday hoping to take advantage of any discounts(???).....too late it seems------it closed that day.

I asked the reason for closing the Gun Dept - the associate in front almost looked with disgust to mention the word "gun". He kind of stammered a bit and gave no good explanation. I wonder if any of the break-ins at the previous Dept location ( the Army-Navy store on 5th St. Highway) where many firearms were stolen had any impact on this decision??

Sigh - another nail; in the coffin for selection in the area. Again - I'll order from Weaknecht's in Hamburg. Shop/touch/feel at Cabelas maybe ( wayyyyyyyyyyyy overpriced) and then go to Jim once I know what i want.
