Wanted something a little different. Tan base with brown effects. Used a laundry bag for the pattern. Not completely satisfied with it, as I didn't take my time. I'll probably re paint it here shortly.

I used Krylon Ultraflat Camouflage spray paint. Holds up real well, especially with a clear coat. My clear coat isn't as shiny as the pics make it seem. Ive seen people do their whole rifles with this paint, and it turns out great.

Looks good. How about the rest of the gun. That black really stands out. :)

looks good that is essentially waht i did to my bushmaster, however i did the whole gun. i first just did the rail, grip, buttstock etc. but since it is mine and not a work gun painting the whole gun is the best way for me.

looks really cool. snake scaling for the bushmaster. very fitting. I may have a project for my bushy as well.

proven, your attention to detail is crazy. I didnt notice it was missing. maybe its getting painted?

If it were me I would use gun scrubber to degrease then give it a good scrubbing with some scotchbrite to roughen up the surface so the paint sticks. I know thats what the gunsmith did who painted my walther p22 pink. and you cant scratch that duracoat to save you life. that stuff is on there to stay. that will be what I use if I ever give my AR's a paint job. its not to expensive, it just takes FOREVER to dry. like 72 hours is what I think it recomends before use.

i haven't been able to bring myself to paint any of my guns. but i do like what others have done.

it can be a real drag sometimes

Thanks dude... I'll keep that in mind. I'm thinking about painting the R15 soon.
The reason I thought of Brakleen is because its safe to use on almost anything, and dries itself quickly without leaving residue.

Nice! I really like the pattern you got using the laundry bag. Snake skin look. Would be cool if the whole gun was painted that way.
Good Job
