As long as the double-stack grip fits your hand, it is an accurate pistol.
I have had a P-13 for 10 years. The only thing you have to do religiously is to make sure that you replace the magazine springs regularly (I change mine after ~1000 per magazine).
For some reason, doublestack .45 magazines give out faster than other calibers. You will know this is happening when your gun starts to stovepipe, FTE, and double feed.
Properly service that pistol and it will not be an issue.
