What do the members on this forum think of these two handguns in 22 long both good or bad. Also I am interseted to know what is the best ammo to use for both handguns in relation to competition shooting

I have owned both. I bought the Pardini in 94, and got the aw93 in 03.
I shoot iron sights, so I can't give you an opinion of the balance with a dot.
Both guns worked/work flawlessly.
Parts for the aw are very, very expensive, on the order of around $130 per magazine.
the Pardini has a forward balance, whereas the aw balances right on the trigger area.
The new Pardinis have a little bit less jump than the aw when firing.
The FWB grip from the factory is usually replaced by the usre becaus it doesn't fit most people. Most will get a Rink or Nill grip for it.
There are limited options for attaching a dot sight to the AW. There is a new version though, that has mill slots on the barrel and chamber for attaching a dot, as well as a lighter version with a lightened recoil reducer under the barrel.
Pardinis usually fit everybody because the chamber is in front of the trigger, making for a more ergonomic grip. The aw has the magazine in the grip, making for a wider grip area. If you have small hands or short fingers you might have trouble adapting to the grip.
I found the trigger of the aw to be very good. I felt that it was better than the Pardini. I think the aw, for me, has a better feeling trigger than any other gun I've shot. Better than a 208s. This is just my opinion, because others may feel that they prefer the Pardini trigger. The Pardini trigger is known to have a slight roll before letoff, which some prefer. The aw trigger can be setup glass crisp to long roll.

As for ammo, the aw eats anything. I've even shot shorts through it and they fed and cycled.
Ammo is all dependant upon what you like.
In my area there is a well known high master shooter who shoots a Pardini and uses very cheap Aguilla ammo and wins most matches overall.

While a prefer the aw, it is amazingly expensive now. If I had to do it over again at these newest prices, I would run in the other direction of the aw93.
It's going for around $2000 now. With another 4 mags it another $500. With a replacement grip it's another $250 or so. Too much.

Both good.

Please consider Hammerli

I haveowned both the 280 and the SP20. Both are excellent firearms.
