just got in an order from VTI spare parts for these revolvers. The mainspring is specific to the Walker ( and first dragoon) while the hand assemblies, hand springs, trigger/bolt springs are the same for both Walker and my 3rd dragoon.

they had them all in stock. Some time ago, i fitted a spare hand assembly for my dragoon and found that it required much less attention than the one's I had pre-fitted for my army and navy I believe the part would have been a drop-in fit, but I went ahead and polished and radiused it like the original.

I'm really tempted to buy a couple of 'spares kits' for my '51 navy. The cost in the US is waaaay less than here in the UK - but I have been told that Brownells are not shiping 'firearms parts' to the UK anymore without an export licence. :-( Sounds lots of hassle....... so I guess I only want to go through the pain once!

Is VTI the 'place to go' for spares for my Uberti?

Either VTI or cimarron arms company. When one is out of a particular part, the other has always been able to supply it. I wonder if any UK distributors keep parts on hand-reliably? For decades, that was the big problem here. The spare parts were extremely difficult to find.
