Some online AK parts kit dealers have this disclaimer attached. Why? I was under the impression that if you had 922r compliance (< 10 foreign parts?) then you were ok no matter what semi-auto 16"+ bbl rifle you were making.

Some dealers leave the original full auto FCG in the kits. The NFA disclaimer is just CYA - it's perfectly legal to build a parts kit into a rifle as long as it's 16"+ and semi (or registered as an SBR). Also, FWIW, if you build a pistol, 922(r) doesn't apply and you can have as many imported parts as you like.
