Party Registration Dilemma

I registered with the libertarian party and routinely vote for the most libertarian minded candidates I can find. Sometimes they are libertarians and sometimes not.

I choose to take my vote away from both major parties as they are both a waste of time and votes. It has become clear to me, especially with more recent events, that neither one is concerned with actually preserving the constitution and the rights it protects. They are simply a way of concentrating power away from the people for the purpose of control.

If my vote means that I take away from one parties control of the house or the senate, so be it. The system is going to fail one day and if it happens in my lifetime, I'll be ready for it.
If it doesn't, I'm going to retire to Europe and let the Socialists take care of me on their dime.

Oh, cool! Libertarians can now sound like both end-times religious nutballs AND far-left moonbats.

I was beginning to suspect as much.

(Nothing too personal, GTI; you and I agree on a great many things, but I've was very active in a Libertarian campaign for a widely-known and popular -- as well as hated by local unions -- candidate that "had a chance" last year and came up a goose-egg. With that experience behind me, it appears we now disagree on political strategy.)
