Regarding the grips:

I like to shoot my K-frames & all have the same rubber Pachmayrs. This one's going to stay in my possession and it's going to get shot so it's going to be comfortable. I've always wanted a thin barrel, 5" Model 10 but it just never happened. Until the other day....

Gamestalker:
What's the relevance of an 8-9 year old price on a different and way more common gun? I was just happy that I had bought a really cool gun.

I had one of those I bought years back (I think it was around $225, but this was a long time ago). Mine had Detroit PD stamped on the backstrap. It was a 5in. Nickle just like that. Had the original grips on it though. One side of them were perfect and the other side were worn smooth from carrying and duty gear I presume. A gunsmith buddy did a trigger job on it and IT WOULD SHOOT!!! HBWCs out of that thing were killer!

I say that it's old because, for me, "old" and the great barrels go together and, of course, because it's over 40. Maybe I should say "older?" How about "mature?" *

Thank you, everyone, for the compliments. I still smile when I think about it. I'm looking for a 64 with the same kind of barrel, BTW, if anyone has one or has any leads....

* :D

Are you sure that gun is not a 6" barrel? You measure from the business end all the way back to the cylinder.

Nice Find.
