I am looking for a PA State Police Beretta 96D Brigadier in blued finish

Have you looked in the holster of a PA State Police officer?
Unless they've changed to something else, that's where I'd expect to find one!

:)

Sheesh, why did I post this response?

The Troopers around here (central PA) carry Glocks in 45GAP.

All PSP has gone or will go over to the Glock pistol.

The troopers have the option to buy their Beretta pistols. I've seen several on various boards.

I like the 96d

I have carried the 96D on duty and have bought them for my own use. I think they are very nice pistols. My only concern is that if you use the high velocity ammo, the standard 96D may not be able to take the beating.
I use the 96D Brigadier with the same reinforced slide as the ELITE models.

I see MANY at the various gun shows around PA. I saw one dealer with at least a dozen and they are were all in good shape. And yes, the PSP did change over to the Glock in .45 GAP.

^^^^ What he said ^^^^

There is one at Classic Pistol in Southampton Pa. for sale on consignment. It's been there for a while (about 2 months??) I think that the asking price is somewhere around $495. That's probably why it's still there.

PM me if you want their phone number.

The Beretta at Classic Pistol is junk. There is lots of wear on it and the night sights are shot. The gun is graded at approx. 70%. I posted an add on this site about 2 months ago and got a reply from a Trooper wanting to sell his gun. My advise to you is wait it out, someone will find your post. I've found the PSP Berettas as far away as Maryland but none of them compared to the one the Trooper sold to me. There is a place on the internet, I think it's called rdguns.com. If you call them they'll search for one for you. They're near Chicago but they do a hell of a job at locating guns.

I guess I don't see the point of a full size, all metal(heavy), DAO service pistol. That being said, I wouldn't mind having a SA/DA beretta 92.
