Consumer Alert
Performance Center Model 460 Revolver

If you purchased a Performance Center Model 460 revolver, we are asking that you stop using the firearm. We have received a few isolated reports of barrel failures. We are investigating, and beginning next week plan to send notices to all affected customers asking that the firearms be returned to Smith & Wesson for testing and replacement of the barrels as necessary. Until then, please do not use your firearm. This notice applies only to the Performance Center Model 460 and does NOT include the Smith & Wesson standard production Model 460. If you have any questions, please contact us at (800) 331-0852.

Of course I'd buy one over a Taurus. I've owned both and there is no comparison.

I would buy a .460 in a second if Taurus made one for half the price of the S&W 460XVR as they do with other calibers...

460's have a "slight" muzzle flash

None of the above, hes simply holding the bullet in hes hands clapping them togeather, using hes wedding ring as fireing pin, this is common pratice in most contries where steel prices has gone ape**** (of course Chuck norris did it long before )

None of the above... That's a 5" 1911 with MagTech 230 +P rounds in it...!! Really!

Did a demo at our monthly night match with a mag full. Could have taken pictures by the muzzle flash.

My old FA .454, with a goodly load of WW296, would push a ball out front as well, but the real "eyebedazzler" was (and is) my single shot in .357 Max. Takes a bunch to get that 158 JSP up to 2200 fps, and there's still enough left over to take flash pictures with. Unburnt (in the barrel) powder and superheated air make some guns more fun than others:D:D
