question anybody ever see one of these or have one a Philadelphia derringer could it be made like a modern single action pistol does anybody do that by modern I mean pull the hammer back then pull the trigger and it shoot not a black powder pistol could it be like other derringers ive seen where the barrel tips down to load?

I don't understand your question. Punctuation would help. Pedersoli makes a replica of the original, but no way could it be converted as you suggest. Google "single shot derringer" for what's currently available in a modern gun. Also there are two shot derringers for modern cartridges based on the old .41 caliber Remington. Bond Arms is the best, but there are cheaper copies.

Just so you know, a single-action pistol requires you to cock the hammer with your thumb.

The typical derringer IS a single-action.

I think you mean double action, which would cock the hammer when you pull the trigger.

They have been made.
High Standard for instance used to make a DA derringer.

This is a difficult one to decipher. So, are you looking for a single shot, single-action, derringer that fires metallic cartridges?

If so, yes, they have been made at various times, in various chambers, and with quality all over the board. If you could be more specific as to what you're after, I'm sure we can help. :)

Single shots have fallen out of favor since metallic cartridges became commonplace. While some countries like Brazil have produced double barrel small handguns for their domestic market, few US mfg's have produced such a weapon (except as a commemorative) for many years.

Colt's 'Lord and Lady" derringers come to mind, usually in 22 cal only. There may be an Uberti or Pedersoli equivalent out there.

guys what i mean is this. is it possible to make a pistol that looks similar to the Philadelphia derringer that is a single action break open pistol to where you pull the hammer back to cock it pull the trigger and it goes boom.how hard would it be to make one

Hard? Not at all. In fact, as basic as it gets.

There have been single-shot, single-action derringers over the years. Not all that long ago, I saw a .22LR rig at the local fun store. There's also the Southern Derringer in .41RF:

There's many others, of course. Just gotsa look.

The real Philadelphia Deringer (by Henry Deringer of Phildelphia) was spelled with one "r"; all two "rr" derringers are generic copies of spin-offs of the original.
