Pick a handgun, rifle and shotgun for the rest of your life.

Does that mean I have to get rid of all my others, are I just have to keep these three for the rest of my life, which if my wife finds out about all the others won't be long anyway?

Choice is easy, I already have them.

Handgun: Ruger P90 .45 auto my everyday ccw.

Rifle: Springfield 03a3 you can't beat 30.06. And it still shoots sub MOA.

The only problem would be with the shotgun, I have three that I would have a hard time parting with.

Winchester 101
Remington 870 express
Benelli Nova

Because of the versatility of the Benelli I would probably pick it, although my heart would break at having to get rid of the other 2.

Already have mine.

shotgun, Winchester 101 OU.
rifle, NEF .22 with iron sights and scope both.
handgun, Magnum Research BFR in 45/70.

The shotgun is just about the sweetest handling thing I've ever used. The.22 in a rifle because this is the tool most used for food. The BFR in 45/70 for anything else. I feel very confident out to 200 yards with mine.

Handgun - Glock 23
Shotgun - Mossberg 500 12Ga.
Rifle - AR15, select fire, 14.5" barrell

Rifle: DSA SA-58 Carbine. There's so much to love about an 16.5" barrelled .308 with multiple 20-rd. mags and 180-grain FMJBT rounds.

Shotgun: Remington 11-87 POlice Model. Semi-auto and ghost ring sights would be sweet.

Pistol: S&W Model 66-2(3"). Shoots 38 or 357 and no mags to worry about.

Lets say that you wanted to buy only three guns for the rest of your life.
MUAHHHH Not bloody likely :p I'd be happy with these as starters. YMMV
Ruger Single Six (convertible)
Win 94 in .30-30
Browning Citori 20 ga.

Don't own one, don't want one. I could've picked either a Mossberg 500 or a Remington 870, and I went with the Mossberg - the 870 didn't feel right against my shoulder.

If we're including guns I already have, then:

Handgun: Springfield M1911A1 .45 ACP.

Rifle: Colt AR-15A3 Carbine 5.56mm NATO.

Both of the above are accurate, reliable, enjoy easy availability of magazines and spare parts, and are easy to work on. Plus, they're lefty-friendly.

Shotgun: TVM left handed flintlock fowling piece in 20 gauge stocked in P++ curly maple. I don't have this one. Yet.

Rem 870 with 21" RS barrel - 12ga
Win M70 Featherweight - .30-06
SA Loaded 1911 with hard fit bar-sto barrel and Wilson innards - .45acp

I'm good to go with the 870 and M70, but I don't get the 1911 back from the 'smith until next month.....can I use my Raven until then? :p

rifle-Tub rifle in like 22-250 or 300 win mag
pistol-glock the fill sized one in 40
shotgun-keagof or something along the lines of that price in 12 guage 28in barrel

I already got them!

1911A1 in .45

M1A in 7.62mm

Mossberg 500

Guess I'm set when the Commies, bluehats, space aliens, or zombies come :neener:

1) FN Hi-Power 9x19mm

2) Remington 870, with several different barrels and a Surefire for in the house

3) AR-15, with a 16" 5.56mm upper w/ Daniel Defense railed handguard and a myriad of acessories, a 20" 6.5mm Grendel Upper, DD rail, w/ TA31 ACOG, a .22LR upper, perhaps a 9mm upper.

I guess having interchangable barrels and uppers is sort of cheating. :p

Ok, I'll play...

If three is the limit, I am going custom.

Rifle: Custom Scout rifle in .308 based on a high-end Mauser action. Detachable magazine, but stripper-clip compatible. 19" barrel, quick detach IER scope (Leupold) and mount, as well as a traditional receiver mount (Zeiss glass in q-d rings) for long range work and backup irons as well. Synthetic stock with fitted butt trap holding two stripper-clips. The action would be bedded and the barrel free-floated. A Ching-Sling is mandatory. The finish on the gun would be tenifer, as found on a Glock. No bipod needed.

Shotgun: Ithaca 37 with a 20" vent rib barrel and double beads, also tenifer finished. Bored for Remington type chole tubes.

Pistol: A custom 1911 with the following features; Glock like reliability, Glock like finish, extreme accuracy, a perfect trigger, nothing "extended" except for a modest beavertail grip saftey, and custom sights. (A design that has been banging around in the head for quite some time, sort of a target/combat hybrid.)

Thankfully, I don't live in a world with such restrictions.

If I had to make that decision right now:

Pistol: USP45 (sorry Kimber but they said only one)
Rifle: XM-15 in .223
Shotgun: Only have the Saiga right now, my Mossy took a crap on me.

If I had the money given to me:

Pistol: USP45 w/my new 12rd mags
Rifle: A new XM-15 from Bushmaster (both upper and lower)
Shotgun: I like that 870 express mariner model

Ok

Drilling, 12 gua over '06..... birds & big game
Scoped rimfire.... small game getter
4"-5" 357 wheelgun...... versatile

Hmmmm...

Handgun-Sig P239. Dunno whether I'd get 9mm or .40. I view a handgun as not being the primary weapon, so the handgun would be for concealed carry.

Rifle-Sig SG550 or 551. If we're considering legality, then an AR15.

Shotgun-Benelli M3.

Two ways to answer

First, what would I pick from the guns I already have:
shotgun- Springfield pump 20 ga., 26" bbl. IC.
handgun- Colt Series 70 .45 acp
rifle-(this is the hard one) Mauser 98 30-06, sporterized, w/Shilen
barrel and Leupold 3to9x scope.

Second, what I might pick if I could choose anything:
shotgun- Remington 870 12 ga. 26"bbl. IC.
handgun- Colt Series 70 .45 acp (mine)
rifle- An M-14 "tuned" by military armorers for sniper use.
I don't need the selector switch.

I picked the Mauser rifle over an M-1 rifle, and an AR-15
rifle for two reasons. First, there are less parts to break on
the Mauser, and second, it shoots a heck of a lot straighter
than the other two. Although the M-1 might give it a good run
if I could find some decent ammo.
