I guess it would be three of the guns I now own:

Springfield 1911 Champion .45 - I love this gun. Shoots great, durable, and what's not to like about a .45?

Remington 870 12 gauge - versatile, durable, classic

Remington Model 700 BDL .270 - I love this gun. It is a part of me almost, I've shot it so much and I'm familiar with it. I might be tempted to go with a higher end gun, but in the end.....I couldn't do it. I'm just not into stainless steel and synthetic stocks, and I'd feel bad about beating up anything more expensive.

Handgun Beretta 92fs centurion, alreadt have it.
Rifle: AR10T carbine, already have it.
shotty: either the 870 marine, or the 1100 police

txl

I would sure miss my 10-22 though.

At this particular moment...

Rifle:
- AK design
- Utilizes AR mags, chambered in 5.56x45 NATO/ .223 Rem
- Smaller gas tube and piston assembly to coincide with the 5.56
- Gas block farther down the barrel than a standard AK, much like an AR-15
- Safety/selector switch repositioned/reworked, reminiscent of an M14 (safety built into trigger, selector switch somewhere else), or rather like a Galil
- Safe/ semi/ three round burst
- Flat, 90-degree gas block and chamber (think FAL, BAR)
- 4x scope (easily removed), most likely an ACOG
- 20" heavy barrel, fluted, polygonal rifling, threaded for muzzle brake/flash suppressor or sound suppressor
- Chrome-lined bore and internal mechanisms
- Machined alloy receiver, fiberglass (not plastic) furniture with heat shields
- Repair/field kit inside pistol grip and/or stock
- Rail running along the top much like an UltiMak, but going from where rear sight is located on an AK to the top of the gas block
- Flip-up front sight, reminiscent of M1/M14/M-16, permanently mounted on top of gas block
- Flip-up rear sight (patterned off the M16A2) permanently mounted on dust cover
- Dust cover is hinged at front like a Krinkov, and is forged/machined steel with another rail running along the top
- ACOG w/ quick release on dust cover
- Folding stock, patterned off the Galil and FAL

Pistol:
- HK USP Expert in 9mm
- All metal construction (instead of polymer, machined aluminum)
- Chrome-lined internal mechanisms and barrel
- Button mag release instead of lever

Shotgun:
- Remington 870, 22" barrel
- Dark mahogany-stained furniture
- Chrome-lined internal mechanisms and barrel
- My initials engraved/burned onto the right side of the buttstock

:D

Or, if we're just going to include guns that actually exist... ;)
Rifle: Fulton Armory M14 Peerless
Pistol: Original 1911A1 in excellent condition made from '39 to '44
Shotgun: A Remington 870 with cherry/mahogany-stained furniture, 22" barrel

Humm, only three forever.

S&W 19 with 5" barrel
Can use light .38s to hvy .357s for hunting and defense

USGI M1A with 20" barrel
Can use scope for hunting and 20rd mags for defense

Remington 1100 Competition
22" barrel good for both hunting and defense

I own none of these weapons, darn. :scrutiny:

NO

Skofnung,

If you ever get that custom scout rifle, you will most certainly need it, for I'll be a-huntin' you down to take it from ya.

Pistol: GP-100, stainless, 4"

Shotgun: Something in a pump 12-ga. Probably an 870 but I'm not sure yet. Recommendations welcome!

Rifle: this is where it gets difficult. I like my SKS. I love my 10/22. I'm sure I will love my Marlin 1894C when it gets here. The Marlin would probably be the most flexible, with the ability to use download .38sp for varmints (for food if necessary) and hot .357Mag to approach .30-30 performance (which is similar to the 7.62x39 in the SKS). So I'd probably take that.

A) Sig 229 with all 3 barrels (9mm, 40, 357 Sig)
B) Winchester 1300 Defender 18" BBL
C) RRA M4 16" with collapsible stock

I know it sounds kinda generic but so far mine are...

1.) Rifle - Bushy M17 .223 (does exactly what I want it to)
2.) Shotgun - 870 12g, with 18" barrel and mag extension
3.) Handgun - Glock 19

OR......

1.) Rifle - Marlin 1894c, in .357
2.) Shotgun - Stoeger Coach 12g
3.) Handgun - GP100, 4" stainless

It's kind of a toss-up, I guess I need to get the Marlin and the Stoeger to see what I think

Very interesting proposition. I'm posting my response without reading any of the others, but I look forward to doing so.

Shotgun: 870, police trade-in, 20" barrel, rifle sights.

Handgun: 1911 Kimber Custom Classic Series I

Rifle: This is tough, because I'm torn between one I own and one I will soon own. My heart says M1 Garand. But, today I'll have to go with Ruger 10/22.

Not that different than many others:

1) Rifle: AR15 variant
2) Shotgun: Remy 870P
3) Handgun: Torn on this one between 1911, USP and Sig... don't make me choose!

handgun = S&W model 19 4" .357 (have)
rifle = winchester 94 ranger compact .357 (have)
shotgun = mossberg 500 12ga. (have)

the only thing i might change is the pump action shotgun considering old age and trade it for a side by side coach gun...............:)

Rem 870 21"
Rem 700 30-06
1911 45 ACP

Not much I couldn't do with those three (two of which I've got with one on the way)

If basing these three firearms on ammo availability, ease of maintenance, reliability and spare parts availability, it would go something like this...

G19
FAL
Mossberg 500A

I had a hard time not choosing the G20 and G21 has the pistol of choice, but ammo availability came in to play versus the G20 and capacity and size played in my head versus the G21. When it comes to the above mentioned criteria, the G19 rules, IMHO.

As to the rifle of choice, I picked my FAL over my ARs and CETME because of utter reliabilty, tons of 7.62 surplus on the market CHEAP, tons of parts that are easy to find and superior barrier penetration versus the 5.56. If it came down to the CETME or the AR15, i'd still pick the 7.62 chambered rifle. I guess the AR would be my third choice.

1. Kimber Custom Classic in Stainless, .45ACP

2. FAL or clone, or M1A/M14, .308

3. Remington 870, 12-ga.

Oh, wait, I have all those. But what're all these other critters doing in my safe???

- 0 -

Pistol: Glock 17 (can't hit nothin with it, but after having it all my life, bet I'd get pretty good! ;) )

Shotgun: Remington 870 Express Magnum (can definitely hit something with it, flying, running, or just standing there and being obliging)

Rifle: SA M1A Standard (not only can I hit it, I can hit it hard, and numerous times, from WAYYY out there :D )

Those are the three I'd take now, but I've got a new RRA AR-15 (with them teeny little rat-getter rounds) that's at least as accurate as the M1A. Since I could change out uppers, maybe it'd be the better choice.

Easy one, because I have picked:

.45 for pistol
12 gauge for shotgun
AR-15 for rifle

That is my current SHTF and HD setup.

Without reading replies,

P220 in .45 ACP.

Springfield M1A w/ synthetic stocks.

Remington 870. If limited to one barrel/choke; the slug barrel.

on edit: I have the handgun and shotgun. Long for the M1A.
