Nice catch sweet looker ta boot. I have her older sister by a year. She carries herself proud as well :)

Beautiful Python.

I got a 4" last year because I couldn't pass up the deal, and now I have a 6 and an 8.

I'm beginning to suspect that I need a 2 1/2 and, dare I say it, a 3.

Thanks. And pics or it didn't happen. :)

alienbogey- if you don't mind my asking- what did you have to give Colt to do that? I have a 2nd series Match Target that could stand a makeover.

beautiful revolver

Hmmmm... gave $300 for it- put $400 into it- just to make it look purty?- I don't get rid of guns- maybe I'll fork over the moolah one of these days. It's a shooter for now.

Grayrock - as of last August it was $265 for Colt to re-do the Royal Blue, I have heard that it has gone up since. Colt's website will list the current price.

alienbogey,

I've always wondered "what kind" of a job Colt would send back, after a refinish, you got a beautiful rebluing job! I'm fortunate to have a 6" Python, looks similar to your reblue. Good luck with your Snake, they're shooters too!

colt python

hey love those python pics! I have a 1978 colt trooper 6" mk111 the cylinder and barrel have normal wear, but after seeing the job colt did on rebluing your colt, I will call them to find out how much they would charge me to reblue my barrel and cylinder only. After owning a colt python 6" for 27 years. I regret selling mine. I will own another it will be like yours a 4" barrel.

Grayrock: Look for the downloadable pdf file 'Custom Retail Price List' on the Colt site. I just downloaded it (dated 5/9/11) and it lists a Royal Blue refinish as $325. (So much for the $265 I paid last summer)
