I'm wondering how well you folk's pellet rifles preform with different pellets? Do they all work pretty good with a few that shoot a little better....or would it be more accurately said....."This thing is a joke unless you load X - Y - or Z pellet!"

Mine is best described by the 2nd option.

Will admit, didn't put a lot of money into my air rifle fund. Spent $100 and got a .22 Tech force Model 25. Pretty stout for an air gun ( shoots thru both sides of a medium possum sometimes)....but was horrible inaccurate with any drug store pellets I put in it.

Recently I found a pellet sampler online (StraightShooters) and after a serious session with it, found the blasted thing would actually shoot 3 pellets well. The JSB Straton, the Crosman Premier, and the Beeman Silver Ace. Honerable mention goes to RWS Hp and Hobby pellets.

Is my experiance the norm, or am I just fighting with a picky shootin' iron?

different pellets

With all airguns, you will find that different brands/shapes/weights will perform different in each model gun. Higher powered airguns tend to prefer heavier pellets like Beeman Kodiak or CP Heavys.

I've found that the most universal pellet in the JSB exact.
