I don't have nearly the collection that many of you have, but I will play anyway.:D

Yup. Bought it used back in 1980. May not be the prettiest gun in my collection (it's actually an acquired taste), but it sure takes a licking and keeps on ticking.

Thanks guys

They are mounted to the door panel and the panel is held to the door with 8 bolts, I’m not sure how the panel is layered of but it’s a combination fire liner and backing plate and the panel is approved to have pistol pegs screwed to it, in fact there was an option to buy a factory 32 peg pistol rack kit but it was way over priced and I didn’t like the look of the pegs so I came up with my own Idea.

My best guess is that there’s about 50 pounds of hand guns hanging on the door and I have no doubt that it could easily hold more than that, I inspect and check torque on everything at least twice a year and nothing has ever needed much tightening in the 8 years I have owned the safe.

I keep the mags stored in containers next to the safe, there’s about 120 pistol mags in all.

I'm in the process of moving, but with any luck where I land will be considerably more gun-friendly than here.

One big project is setting up the safes when I get to where we're going, this has given some good inspiration. I've got an acceptable setup with the two safes but ammo/magazine/accessory storage is kind of lacking.

Scott, I remember your advice about getting larger safes than you need in order to conceal unexpected purchases. "What handgun, honey?"

OMG! 3rdpig, is that a C.O.P. on the bottom there? I think it's the only one I've ever seen outside a magazine.

Oh, yeah, gun safes protect you from LOTS of hazards, including the "unannounced wife weapon inventory."

Hey GIXERMAN Ive also been a softy for the Beretta 8000F Cougar INOX. They are beautiful pistols! Oh By they way you have a really nice collection(like you needed me to help you realize). If you dont mind me asking how long have you been working on that collection, the bulk of it at least?

That's a great start guys!!

But how 'bout posting addresses and work schedules underneath the pics, as well as an inventory list!!

Thats what I need to do as well - I lack in ammo storage and need to come up with something better. Once I get those handguns mounted on the door. I will have 3 shelves to address that issue!

Keep em' coming boyz I am getting inspired!:D

Paranoid? I woudn't call him paranoid.................

I'd refer to him as opportunistic!

by the way "oh Blanky" I don't work ever so don't even think about it :D

JUST SO YOU KNOW

Storing a firearm in a leather holster is a NO NO. This can contribute to corrosion. I had one instructor tell me that the leather is actually corrosive. Others think that the moisture retained by the leather causes problems. Regardless of what the reason is, don't store you guns in leather holsters.

wow those are awsome safes (well the guns anyway)

what caibre is the ammo with the silver case 7.62x39?

Let me see if I can get my pics to shrink a little bit so I can post them... I haven't quite figured out the digi-cam yet... Coincidentally I love my P-22 as well
