Hi everybody. I´ve been looking for a size comparison between a Beretta Cheetah and a 92 model. I am thinking about ordering a Cheetah, but I have not actually handled one yet. I am worried about its size, I fear it may be too small for my taste.

A picture with both pistols side by side will be mucho apreciado.

It's got to be one of the largest .380 pistols on the market. If it's too small you need to look at another caliber.

A little photoshop for ya... I made the scale as accurate as I could without having both in hand.

What a fast draw, Jimmie! Thanks, it seems the grip size is about the same in both pistols.

No, not really.

PT59, same size as the PT92/Beretta92/M9:

It kinda beats the point of .380, uh?

I am interested in the Cheetah, but it is a lot of dough for me, and I don´t like tiny pistols. I want to be sure about the actual size before I take the plunge for one.

Which one are you looking at, The model 84 or 85? The difference between them is in the grip thickness. The model 84 is a stagger stack magazine and the grip is pretty full. The 85 has a single stack and offers a slightly slimmer grip.

Neither are pocket guns, but offer easy concealability in a belt holster. I have three of them and they are some of my favorite pistols. The Cheetah is about a 80% scale of the M9. Most people remark on the great grip it offers.

Yeah, I think Hi-Point makes one that's pretty large as well. The fact remains that if you're worried about the Cheetah being too small, you might as well be looking at 9mm pistols.

Initially I was looking at the 84, but I´ve been leaning towards the 87 in .22lr.

That is great to hear. Do you have any experience with the 87?

I had an 87 Cheetah and it was by far the best 22lr I ever had. Very reliable, easy to clean, though not as accurate as a fixed barrel 22lr. I only sold it because I wanted a Kadet kit to go with my SP01. That has a fixed barrel so I hope the accuracy will be better when I get a chance to shoot it.

Saddly no. I would love to have one, and fondled one at the last gun show I attended. They are sweet guns. Made some poor decisions that day I think...I passed on a $300 Walther PPK, looked at a $179 CZ82 (you can never tell with them?), and the Beretta at $579, (which I think is a very good price for one).
