I spent about Sept 25 - Oct 8 = 13 days working on a Rem 700 ADL 7mmRemMag.
I took off the original 1960's Hart barrel and wood stock and put on a Shilen barrel.
I cut threads and chamber.
I made some pillars from 1/2" 6061 Aluminum round stock.
I cut the concave radius [1.355" diameter] on the tops of the pillars to fit the Rem 700 receiver using a boring head.
The stock was a 20 ounce High Tech Specialties [Bansner].
Bansner has a video:

I pre compressed the pillars with the action screws.
I used Devcon Steel putty [epoxy].
I wrapped the receiver and stock with surgical rubber tubing and put them under a heating pad until cured.
I made a new recoil lug because the old one was rusty.
My recoil lug had thousands of thickness variation, as I do not have a surface grinder. I got paranoid about that.
So I bought a Holland lug. It has a hole for a pin.
So I drilled a hole in the receiver to pin the lug.
The Holland lug was thicker, so I milled out some extra material from the stock.
I glued a Pine plug in the stock butt.
I screwed a large grind to fit Limbsaver recoil pad to the Pine.
I did not grind the pad, but covered the reveal with a Triad tactical stock pack

I left the pull long on the stock, as I do my shooting prone from a bipod.
I shot it at 100 yards but did not finish it in time for hunting.
It consistantly shoots 1" 3 shot groups at 100 yards, which is good for a rifle that light and powerful.
I still need to put epoxy putty on the stock, sand, and paint.
