I have a S&W 686+ and have never forgiven myself for trading a
586 no dash with an 8 3/8 barrel back in the 80's that I would
love to have back. Live and Learn
Were any of the early 586/686 revolvers manufactured with
pinned barrels ?
YES...They are indeed.
I own quite a few variations of K & L frame revolvers.
Regardless, the 586/686 shoot the best out of the ones
I have been fortunate enough to enjoy and shoot.
Here is a 10 shot group offhand that I shot yesterday at my backyard range
with my 686+ using 158 JSP ammo in 357 magnum.
The revolver would shoot better if it had a better shooter pulling the trigger
