Pleasant Wal-Mart experience

Since these are few and far between, here was mine:

I went in to buy a Magtech "shootin size" box of 250 .45 ACP FMJ. They had it for about $98.00. There was a pleasant old gentleman stocking the pistol ammunition locker, so I asked him if he'd mind if I reached past him to grab the box. He walked me to the nearest register, took a closer look and advised me that I could get the Federal FMJ for $0.10 a round cheaper. Sure enough, I could. Picked up 500 rounds of Federal for 160 after tax. That puts it cheaper then at Midway. Not exactly a steal, but the guy stocking the counter knew what he was talking about and was VERY helpful.

I still feel my blood pressure rise just walking through the door of my local Wal-Mart, but sometimes they do things right. My WMT stock has been killing it lately too, so even when I have an unpleasant experience with them, I can't complain too much.

Sad to say but $0.32/round for reloadable brass (ignoring S&H or tax) is good these days

I feel your Wal-Mart pain. I try to avoid the place like the plague. Always nice to actually see one of the employees doing something good. You should go to their website if you rmember the guys name and submit a "atta boy" for him ! One good turn deservs another

Although I may go back to my Walmart cause I here tell that they are selling AR's and such maybe catch a deal !
