Long story short after taking a CCW class with my girlfriend I lost my Ruger SP101 3" to be her designated defense gun (mostly in the home) that left me with nothing for a short time to carry. I decided the funds weren't there to purchase a new carry gun (vacation, engagement, too many other guns on the wish list) so I put my sig/GSG 1911-22 on the trading block here in Ohio. After about a week of communications with several people using armslist and MeWe I settled on trading for a Ruger LCR in 38 sp +p.

After putting about 100 rounds through it (mostly 38 sp +p whitebox) I'm pleasantly surprised with the gun. The accuracy is right on with my SP101 but the thing that surprised me the most in the trigger. The guy I got the gun from said after buying her only shot it 5 times then it resided in his glovebox after that (I'll take that with a grain of salt). The trigger is butter smooth and actually feels better then the double action on my sp101. The thing is a snappy little shooter but should do well for a light weight carry gun. I see myself upgrading the sights to some night sights and that's probably about it for modifications.
