Please help me choose a 9mm (long)

Try a Glock 19C. It will give you concealability, reliability, and great accuracy, as well as all the other criteria you want to meet. The ports in the barrel make muzzle flip nonexistant and follow-up shots are very quick. The 15-round mag makes it a competitive choice against a full-sized gun of another manufacturer. If that's not enough, you can also use the magazines from the Glock 17, which hold 17 rounds, or the G18 mags, which hold 33 rounds. Ability to accept a flashlight is also a plus.

Sorry, I got to be honest. I have plenty of experience with plenty of 9mm's and none of them meet all of your criteria for one single gun. Some win one of your categories and a few win multiple but none win them all. Good luck on your quest and please update us all when you find the gem.

You might be very comfortable with the Glock 19 trigger since you shoot revolvers so much. The same reset and pull for each shot is dedigned to be as revolver like as possible, I think.

That being said, if you dont really wish to get another SIG, a 228 would be my suggestion, then you really owe it to yourself to try a CZ PCR or P01. Meets all your criteria, very affordable and shoot very nicely. I recently acquired a P01 (traded 228 for it) and am in love with this firearm. Very accurate, mid level recoil with 147gr rounds, relaible and will carry 16+1 if you use a hicap cz75 mag with a rubber finger extension from cz-usa. Otherwise 14+1.

Try it you will like it.

THe CZ-75D PCR is an excellent choice. Its basically the same as a P-01 without hte light rail so its slightly slimmer in the muzzle. I carry one and a Sig P228. THE CZ is lighter and more compact than the P228, but both are great choices.

I just ordered a Steyr M-9 in 9MM. I just couldn't resist the $279 price from CDNN. This may be a good Glock beater also, but I'll reserve that opinion until I get some trigger time with it. I think the G19 is a good choice also if you want polymer.

Thank you everyone for taking the time to respond. Lots of great suggestions and options to choose from. I know my initial post was pretty vague. I was just trying to see if there were any models I was forgetting about.

In the end, I chose, yet another Sig. The P228. The other main contenders were the Glock 19 and H&K USP full-size. The long list basically had all the models everyone here has mentioned. These were the 3 that spoke to me to satisfy the itch. I ended up choosing the P228 mostly because I found one available for a decent price.

I know I will definitely get a Glock eventually. Everything I've heard seems to indicate it would be an excellent match for me. They seem to be a great value for what you get, and unlike a few others, I don't find them ugly. I find beauty in their efficiency. I guess I just feel they will always be around and available, and don't feel pressured to snatch one up right away.

Finally, I've heard great things about the USP full-size with its recoil-reduction system. I would love to fire one and feel the difference in perceived recoil. My main concern with the USP was its lack of availability in my area.

Thanks again everyone for giving me suggestions. Like most people here, I wish I could try them all.

I have the P228 and the CZ 75B (albeit in .40 S&W), so I would always recommend those two.

Two more that I don't see mentioned elsehere on the thread would be a Sig P220 9mm (if you can find one), or perhaps a S&W 5903 or 5906 (the "03" is alloy framed, less common than the steel framed "06", but I personally prefer the lighter "03").
