I figure with the new incoming administration, we will have many 2nd Amendment challenges ahead. So, I have started purchasing Gift memberships to the NRA for family members that love firearms and like to shoot, but are on the lean side for funds. I bought 2. If all of us take and get at least 1 for someone who isn't a member and would like to be, we can be heard even louder, and get record setting enrollment for the NRA. They can be purchased online at the NRA website.

Thanks !!

I just joined, and will be buying 1-year memberships as christmas gifts for my close friends and family this year.

Though it might not be as usefull as i would like being a foreigner, I joined the NRA today, as I did join the swiss PRO TELL organisation a couple of years ago-

I did so, because gunrights in the USA, and Obama administration decisions reguarding this matter will most probably affect gun laws and UN small arms survey programs around the world. (we, years ago, had to suffer many Clinton bans with castrated AR-15s (no bay lugs, no muzzle flash hiders) 10 rounds cap mag etc etc..

I did so because I want the USA to REMAIN the country of FREEDOM I always knew, and visited.

I did so, because I would like all the american gun owners to understand that UNION make POWER, and that if all gun owners are ok to donate only what cost a 9mm ammo box, a year, they will be able to politically fight to preserve their gun RIGHTS !

JOIN NOW !!!

Shung,

I thank you. Truly, I do.

We need a reminder that we are all in this together-- globally.

I don't like the NRA, never have, but I joined 2 months ago as I thought it was a good way to help the pro gun effort.

I joined yesterday after a few years of debating whether or not to just become a "lifetime member". I just ended up getting a 2-year membership. I'm cheap.

NRAs power to lobby is directly related to the number of members on the role. Period.

To get anything through Congress or to stop it (same for States) requires a majority vote and an administration endorsement. At 4 million on the roles, the NRA has a voice. It does not always drive the discussion.

If every gun owner in the US was a member, we, yes, WE, would drive the discussion.

Join NRA, GOA, 2AF, and state and local groups, but it starts with the NRA.

I joined the NRA the day after Obama was elected. I also try to convince as many people as I can to do the same. Strength in numbers is how we are going to win this upcoming fight.

The NRA has certainly failed to be what it wants us to believe. But boycotting it and trying to compete with it is foolish. Think of all the people you know who vote for a party, or join a club, simply out of habit. You would be fighting that ignorance. Instead, USE IT! Join and take over the NRA (and the R party) and make them what they SHOULD be. USE those ignorant votes, don't fight them!

I have been toying with the idea of joining the NRA, but their support of certain anti-2A legislation REALLY turns me off. In the end, I think I WILL join NRA (and be a royal pain in their ass anytime they try to support something that diminishes/disrespects gun rights) with the impending administration, I do believe that the support the NRA offers, while not nearly as much as I would prefer, IS an important prominent voice that we can use to our advantage. I'm also going to join GOA and SAS.

Those are all of the gun rights groups that I know of.

The NRA is the best we've got. For the cost of one average rifle or handgun you can be a life member.

I'm a lifer and proud of it.

Gun owners need a collective voice and the NRA (and the GOA just to round things out) IS THAT voice.

So, (in Clint Eastwood's voice) "go ahead, make my day, join the NRA!"
